Like many of history’s great vocal talents, Steve started singing at an early age and has been going strong ever since. He started out performing as a pre-teen on network television variety shows, moved on to fronting his own acapella group and a jazz trio and was eventually discovered by the legendary Cy Coleman. He’s shared stages with Jerry Orbach, Michael Feinstein and Nancy Wilson, and he’s played for and gained high praise from such luminaries as Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand for his interpretation of the Great American Songbook.
The opening act Carl Guerra’s recipe for comedy starts with observations of everyday life and mixes in relationship humor, comments on topical events, characters and spontaneous moments, then tops it off with a touch of guitar. He honed his comedic skills on the New York comedy club circuit, he’s made numerous TV appearances and has opened for huge acts like Patti LaBelle, Julio Iglesias, Joan Rivers, George Benson and the Four Tops.
