With their debut hit Tom Dooley, The Kingston Trio sparked the folk music phenomenon of the ‘50s and ‘60s, which captured the hearts of music fans worldwide and influenced musicians from subsequent generations. Countless recording artists have cited the band as inspirations for their own music, from artists like Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Eagles to contemporary artists like Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers. All three current members, Mike Marvin, Tim Gorelangton and Paul Robinson, have personal and/or professional connections to the original group, and they are dedicated to faithfully carrying on the legacy with their signature striped shirts, charismatic personalities and four-piece band that includes banjos, congas and guitars.
